Jefferson County Cares Act 
Rent, Deposit, & Mortgage Assistance 

Jefferson County CARES Act funding Requirements:
  • Must be a JeffCo resident
    • Proof of residency required – electric or water bill
  • Mortgage statement, if selecting mortgage assistance can include late fees and HOA fees
  • Letter from landlord of past due notice with amount owed, if selecting rental assistance can include late fees
  • Copy of lease agreement
  • Employer statement of job impact
  • Most recent bank statement(s) of lease or mortgage holder(s)
  • Evidence of legal US residency, one of the following:
    • Copy of U.S. passport (current or expired)
    • Copy of U.S. civil issued birth certificate
    • Copy of alien registration card
    • Copy of naturalization/citizenship certificate
  • W9 from landlord or mortgage provider
  • Income can be at or under 150% the AMI
