Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer direct deposit for housing assistance payments?

Yes! In fact, we highly encourage landlords to sign up for direct deposit for the quickest payments. You can do so by logging in to the landlord portal and entering your account and routing number. 

how do i increase the rent on my unit?

You are able to request a rental increase once every 12 months. In order for the household to remain in that unit and receiving assistance, the rent must be considered reasonable. This means it must be the same as what is charged at other, similar units, and fall under FRH's Payment Standards. You can find FRH's payment standards here. 

To request a rental increase, you must submit the following to your housing specialist:

• A completed W-9 form
• A copy of the Warranty Deed or Bill of Sale showing the transfer from the current to the new owner, if applicable
• If there is a change in management company, a copy of the Management Agreement between the owner and the new management company is required.  They must also provide a completed W-9.

i am having an issue with my tenant. what do i do?

Your tenant is required to follow all of the requirements laid out in your lease agreement. We encourage you to reach out to their housing specialist to discuss the situation. Often, the housing specialist can work internally to help direct them to resources such as rental assistance, mental health support, or other resources. However, if you feel the issues are unresolvable you do have the right to initiate a mutual lease recission or an eviction.

what happened to the landlord incentives?

All landlord incentives have been placed on hold. With the uncertainty at the federal level, FRH has made the difficult decision to halt these programs to ensure we can maximize the number of households we can support. FRH will be reinstating these programs as soon as we are able, but do not have a timeline at this time.
