Please do not call the office as information will not be given over the phone.

What is Project Mainstream Housing for Persons with Disabilities?
This program allows for non-elderly persons or families with disabilities to receive a Section 8 voucher and live in an apartment or house suitable to their needs.

How Does it Work?
The disabled person receives a voucher and finds an apartment or house that qualifies under Section 8 programs. The resident pays 30% of their income as rent to the landlord. The JCHA pays the difference between tenants portion and the contract rent in the form of a check directly to the landlord.
