Congress has failed to pass a funding agreement or continuing resolution resulting in a full government shutdown as of 12:01 AM on October 1, 2025.
Foothills Regional Housing is not a federal agency and our staff are not federal employees. This means we will not have to cease or scale back operations during a government shutdown, at least in the short-term. We have been notified by HUD that we are fully funded through the end of 2025. October, November, and December's HAP payments will go out as scheduled. FRH made the change at the beginning of 2025 to no longer pre-issue HAP payments. This means that FRH processes payments as soon as funding is in our account, with payments typically going out on the first business day of the month. It is our hope that congress will find an agreement soon. No matter what, FRH is diligently monitoring the situation and will continue to keep you updated. Comments are closed.
