Moving to Work Designation

We continually strive to identify new ways to better serve our community. As part of this effort, Foothills Regional Housing (FRH) applied to and was accepted to the Moving to Work (MTW) demonstration program offered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The additional flexibilities offered by this program will allow FRH to improve rental housing options for families using housing vouchers in Jefferson County. You can learn more about the MTW program here.

How will this affect current residents? Families participating in the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program may have more options to use their housing voucher in a variety of neighborhoods in Jefferson County.

How will this affect current and future landlord partners? FRH plans to adopt new practices that will make it easier to partner with us and help landlords better serve Jefferson County families looking for affordable housing through our Housing Choice Voucher program.

We want your input! As part of the implementation process, we will provide opportunities for our residents and partners to provide feedback on our MTW plan. We will be holding community meetings to discuss our plans and hear your feedback. We will provide more information as soon as possible and welcome you to join us.
