JCHA values the health and safety of its partners, clients, and staff.  Therefore, we are taking the following actions to address the COVID-19 pandemic and protect you and our team:

JCHA Properties – Staff will be working modified hours and will not have contact with residents. All inquiries will need to be made via email, phone call, or placed in the dropbox. Contact information for property managers can be found on the JCHA website under Contact Us or the Apartment Communities tab and posted at each community office. We are committed to responding within 24 hours.

We have asked visitors not to enter our senior buildings unless necessary, and we have restricted access to as much of the common spaces as possible.  We have also canceled all JCHA sponsored events.

JCHA maintenance will only respond to emergency work orders – residents have received a notice detailing the definition of emergency, along with the correct contact in the event of a maintenance emergency. JCHA's environmental services crew, maintenance staff, and private cleaning crews, hired by JCHA, will be sanitized as much as possible. It is our sincere desire to do it daily. However, we ask that residents and visitors also carry a sanitizing agent, wash their hands often, and take appropriate steps to ensure their safety. JCHA has provided guidance to residents from the CDC on best practices during this time and has also put this on repeat for properties with digital reader boards.

Supportive Services staff persons will also be working via email and phone. They will be available to answer calls and emails and will do their best to respond within 24 hours.

*JCHA will suspend all evictions for non-payment of rent for April as a reminder rent is due on the 1st of the month and considered late as of the 6th. While evictions will be on hold, rent should be paid in a timely fashion. If you are current JCHA resident or HCV client experiencing hardship during April for any of the reasons below, rental assistance may be available for you:*

1. Loss of job or a reduction of hours related to COVID-19.
2. Medical bills due to COVID-19

Please contact Arrah Gallaher at agallaher@jcha.org or 720.854.4104 if one of the above situations apply to you.

JCHA Main Office – Please continue to refer to our website for updates or changes in operating hours. JCHA has opened its Home Office with minimal staffing, and most staff will be working remotely until further notice. We encourage clients and others to call in, email, or place documents in the dropbox. JCHA has installed an intercom system at the front door of the 7490 office building and will screen drop in traffic. We expect to make all landlord payments, vendor payments, and other payments timely.

Emergency Home Repair Program - JCHA will be working with clients and vendors to move repairs forward as efficiently and safely as possible.

JCHA Housing Choice Voucher Program - JCHA Housing Specialists will be working staggered shifts.  They will not be conducted in-person appointments. We encourage everyone to email or call their caseworker if you need assistance. If you have a change in income, please drop the verification in the dropbox or email a photo or scan to your caseworker or info@jcha.org. We will be processing all interim's as quickly as possible. We will email or mail you a copy of your rent determination. JCHA has suspended all annual inspections for at least two weeks. JCHA will complete new inspections and move-ins.

If you cannot pay your rent due to COVID-19 related employment issues or medical bills, please contact your caseworker as JCHA will be providing a limited amount of rental assistance for our current HCV clients for April. Our goal is always to ensure our families stay housed. Please contact us if you have any concerns or issues that could lead to the loss of housing.
JCHA will be closely monitoring its general email box if there are any questions or concerns.  Please feel free to email us at info@jcha.org

JCHA will continue to work hard to ensure the safety of our partners, staff, and clients.  We ask that you will be patient with us as we maneuver through this crisis as additional changes could be made.
